19.10.2026: GSTAT Introduces Security Code Regeneration Facility on Portal: Code Available on Screen and Through Registered Email
The Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) Portal has outlined a Security Code Regeneration Process through a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), enabling appellants and respondents to regenerate and retrieve the Security Code associated with their cases. The facility is accessible through the Appellant/Respondent Corner on the GSTAT Portal.
As per the prescribed procedure, the user is required to log in to the GSTAT Portal and navigate to Appellant/Respondent Corner → Resend Security Code. The user must then identify the relevant case and click the option available in the rightmost column against that case. Thereafter, the user is required to click the “Resend Security Code” button displayed in the rightmost column.
Upon completion of the process, the Security Code will be displayed on the portal and will also be sent to the user’s email ID. This procedure provides a convenient mechanism for appellants and respondents to retrieve the Security Code associated with their cases, facilitating access to the relevant case-related functionality on the GSTAT Portal.
Key takeaway: Appellants and respondents can regenerate and retrieve their case-related Security Code through the GSTAT Portal by using the Resend Security Code option, with the code displayed on the portal and also sent to their email ID.
