The CBIC vide Notification No. 10/2023-Central Tax dated 10.05.2023, has reduced the threshold limit for issuing E-invoice from Rs.10 Crores to Rs. 5 Crores effective from 01.08.2023, 

Accordingly, if in any of the preceding 5 years , the aggregate turnover exceeds Rs. 5 Crores, then E-invoice is to be issued from 01st August, 2023. Earlier, CBIC vide Notification No. 17/2022-Central Tax dated 01.08.2022, implemented e-invoicing for the taxpayers having aggregate turnover exceeding Rs.10 Crores effective from 01.10.2022.
